WHO I AM AND WHAT I DO

This is a picture of Dr. Vassighi

Life's too short to not feel good.

Trust me, I've been there.  I've watched my family struggle with the conventional medical system, bogged down with medications, limited treatment options, and disappointing results. I also experienced it first-hand with my own health challenges. I knew there had to be a better way to deliver healthcare beyond a one-size-fits-all pill, to care for patients as humans who deserve to receive individualized treatment, and to find and treat the root cause of why we get sick.

Thankfully, I found naturopathic medicine, or some might say it found me!  I graduated with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine with Honors from Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly SCNM, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences) in Tempe, AZ and continued my education there by completing a first-year general medicine residency. While in school, I discovered my love for homeopathy and the profound effects it has on patient's lives, so I decided to pursue a second-year residency specializing in homeopathy at SCNM under the tutelage of esteemed homeopath Dr. Stephen Messer, ND, DHANP.  I am so very lucky to have had this opportunity, as I am one of a few naturopathic doctors in the nation who has been accepted into and completed this residency. I've joined a small but mighty group of highly-skilled homeopathic colleagues by developing an expertise in practicing the art and science of homeopathy by obtaining Diplomate status from the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians (HANP).

Somewhere along the way, as a life-long learner and student, I knew that my destiny would lead me to teach. I have always been passionate about education, and I wanted to give back to the communities that helped shape my life's purpose. After completing my residencies, I pursued a position as an Assistant Professor at my alma mater SCNM, and when the pacific coastline called to me, I continued my journey to San Diego as an Associate Professor and Homeopathy Faculty at Bastyr University San Diego. For the past several years I have been so graciously blessed to help pass on my knowledge and love for homeopathy to naturopathic medical students so they can also help impact people's lives for the better.

I've seen with my own eyes how natural medicine works wonders to restore health. Homeopathy has granted me the ability to provide patients with healthier lifestyles, greater vitality, and more importantly, hope. Let's work together - I would be honored if you'd let me accompany you on your health journey.
